Research and certificates
aXonnite® is an innovative material, with its uniqueness, performance, quality and safety confirmed by numerous studies and tests carried out by prestigious scientific centres, recognised laboratories and certifying institutions. Owing to such collaboration, we are confident that aXonnite® is the best researched material based on comminuted precious metals on the market.
CYTOTOXICITY AND GENOTOXICITY OF AXONNITE® SAMPLES
aXonnite® nanoparticles have been tested by the National Medicines Institute in Warsaw.
In accordance with the requirements of the CPNP portal and the provisions of Article 16 (Nanonotification) of Regulation 1223/2009 of the European Commission, aXonnite® nanomaterials were tested for their cytotoxicity and genotoxicity. The tests were carried out at the National Medicines Institute in Warsaw, Department of Biochemistry and Biopharmaceuticals. The tests were carried out on four types of nanoparticles presented below.
The results confirmed the safety of aXonnite® nanomaterials.
RESEARCH PROCEDURES
Test formulations were submitted at a concentration of 100 ppm. Tests for cytotoxicity were performed at a concentration of 50 ppm. Genotoxicity tests were performed at a concentration of 10 ppm.

INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS
The cytotoxicity test with culture, negative, positive and neutral carrier controls, showed no changes around or under the sample in any of the tested nanomaterials. This result clearly indicates the absence of cytotoxicity of the tested aXonnite® products.
The genotoxicity test using the micronucleus method for simulating metabolic processes did not yield a statistically significant increase in the number of cells containing micronuclei compared to control cells, which demonstrates the non-genotoxicity of the tested aXonnite® products.
